Tim Nguyen is a familiar face at the LA and California Pen Shows. Born and raised in Orange County, California, Tim has spent the past seven years honing his skills as a nib technician and fountain pen restorer. His passion began with a humble Jinhao pen that broke repeatedly—an inconvenience that sparked a deep interest in pen mechanics and restoration.
Since then, Tim has restored nearly 800 pens, gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of vintage and modern fountain pens. Known for his meticulous craftsmanship, Tim specializes in nib straightening, tuning, and full pen restorations. His work has earned the respect of renowned nibmeisters, including Ralph from Regalia Writing Labs and CY from Tokyo Station Pens, particularly for his precision in unbending damaged nibs.
